WHAT YOU'LL DO

• Provide strategic leadership and development for a team of buyers and planners, driving excellence in daily operations while advancing long-term process optimization and performance improvements
• Own MRP planning activities, including order management, reschedules, and exception handling
• Maintain and improve key planning parameters (lead times, safety stock, lot sizes)
• Reduce stockouts, excess inventory, and expediting through better planning discipline
• Develop and execute sourcing strategies to drive cost savings and supplier performance
• Negotiate pricing, lead times, MOQs, and payment terms
• Manage supplier relationships and performance (OTD, quality, responsiveness)
• Partner with operations, engineering, and finance to align supply with business needs
• Identify risks, solve problems quickly, and implement long-term fixes-not just firefighting

WHAT YOU'LL BRING

• 5-8+ years in manufacturing, purchasing, planning, or supply chain
• Strong experience with ERP/MRP systems (SAP, Epicor, Oracle, etc.)
• Solid understanding of inventory planning (min/max, reorder points, service levels)
• Proven ability to negotiate and drive cost savings
• Experience improving inventory performance and supply reliability
• Strong analytical skills (Excel proficiency required)
• Ability to communicate clearly and work cross-functionally
