WHAT WE REALLY LOOK FOR!

We are seeking an organized and highly motivated Production Scheduler to create, manage, and execute production schedules that meet customer demands and maximize manufacturing efficiency. The ideal candidate has experience working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment and is skilled at balancing competing priorities, managing material and capacity constraints, and collaborating with cross-functional teams.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Create and maintain detailed production schedules, balancing sales orders and forecasts with available capacity and resources.
  • Analyze and interpret data related to production specifications, plant capacity, and material requirements to develop optimal production plans.
  • Coordinate with sales, purchasing, inventory, and operations teams to ensure smooth production flow and on-time delivery of products.
  • Monitor production progress, identify potential bottlenecks, and promptly resolve issues that may cause delays.
  • Use Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) or other scheduling software to manage work orders, track production status, and report on key metrics.
  • Adjust production schedules in response to material shortages, equipment malfunctions, or changes in customer orders.
  • Help manage inventory levels of raw materials and finished goods to meet production demands and minimize waste.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives by identifying opportunities to streamline processes and reduce costs.
  • Generate regular reports for management on production attainment, forecast accuracy, and other performance indicators

IMPORTANT QUALIFICATIONS
  • High school diploma or equivalent is required. A technical associates degree is a plus.
  • Working knowledge of manufacturing processes, capacity planning, and inventory management.
  • Proficiency with ERP/MRP software (e.g., SAP, Oracle) and Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills with excellent attention to detail.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills for collaborating with various departments.
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks and priorities in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

  • This position is located on the production floor and will require frequent interaction with production floor personnel.
  • This role requires the ability to use a computer for extended periods and may involve walking and standing to communicate with teams on the manufacturing floor.
  • May be required to work occasional overtime or weekends to respond to production emergencies or deadlines.

WORK ENVIRONMENT

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to outside weather conditions. The employee is occasionally exposed to vibration. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.

POSITION TYPE/EXPECTED HOURS OF WORK

This is a full-time position. Normal office workdays are Monday through Friday. This position may require time on the weekends due to the production schedule. The company reserves the right to modify work schedules to accommodate business needs.

LANGUAGE SKILLS

Excellent written and verbal skills across all levels of the organization. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from managers, clients, and customers.

REASONING ABILITY

Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables, Analytical and attention to detail.
