Job Description:

Job Summary

The Senior Financial Analyst is responsible for driving financial analysis, reporting, and forecasting while also building and enhancing the data infrastructure that supports finance operations. This role goes beyond traditional FP& A by integrating financial planning with data engineering, analytics, and automation. The analyst ensures efficient handling of financial operations, contributes to strategic decision-making, and improves reporting accuracy and timeliness through innovative use of tools and technology.

Essential Job Responsibilities

  • Analyze and manage financial operations, ensuring accuracy and efficiency.

  • Conduct month-end variance analysis, forecasting, and financial reporting.

  • Design and enhance reporting infrastructure using SQL, Power BI, and related tools.

  • Create and manage data pipelines to move, transform, and reconcile data across systems (e.g., SAP, Workday, Snowflake).

  • Automate recurring financial reports, audit checks, and flagging processes to improve controls and reduce manual effort.

  • Apply data analytics and statistical modeling techniques to improve forecasting accuracy (e.g., headcount attrition, utilization, cost trends).

  • Document and maintain accurate records of financial data, models, and reporting processes.

  • Collaborate with finance team members and business partners to improve financial processes and stakeholder satisfaction.

  • Proactively identify opportunities to simplify reporting, improve data quality, and deliver actionable insights.

Qualifications & Requirements

Education

  • Required: Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field.

  • Preferred: Master’s degree in Finance, Analytics, or a related field.

Experience

  • Required: 5+ years of experience in FP& A, financial analysis, or financial reporting.

  • Preferred: Experience with data analytics, data engineering, or business intelligence reporting.

Skills

  • Strong foundation in FP& A, including financial reporting, forecasting, and variance analysis.

  • Proficiency in Excel (advanced formulas, modeling, Power Pivot).

  • Hands-on experience with SQL and business intelligence tools (Power BI, Power Query, DAX).

  • Strong analytical thinking, quantitative analysis, and problem-solving abilities.

  • Ability to design and automate reporting processes and data pipelines.

  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to simplify complex financial and technical concepts.

  • Detail-oriented with a high degree of accuracy.

  • Strong collaboration skills in a cross-functional environment.

Certifications

  • Required: None.

  • Preferred: Financial or analytics certifications (e.g., CFA, CPA, data analytics/BI certifications).

Physical Requirements

Ability to work in an office environment and perform tasks that may require sitting, standing, and using office equipment.

The Compensation range for this role is $115, 000.00 to $120, 000.00 USD annually and may be eligible for an annual bonus.

Your specific salary will be determined based on several factors:

  • Location-based market rate for the role

  • Your abilities in relation to the job specification

  • Pay parity with the wider team in the considered location
