DuraTrench is hiring a Weekend Production Plastic Worker in Dallas, GA. This is a full-time position.
Job description: FridaySunday (6am-6: 30pm), 12-hour shifts, paid for 40 hours. TRAINING will be during weekdays (Please expect to train for at least 2 weeks before transitioning to weekends) Position overview: Working in the Plastics Department consists of performing one of three key roles: Spray, Roller, or Prep. The Production Plastics team member will be responsible for tasks within their assigned role to support overall department efficiency. Laborers assigned to the Plastics Department will work in one of these three area: Spray, Roller, or Prep based on operational needs. Duties: Assist in the Plastic process of manufacturing trench drains and related products.Prep, clean and polish forms.Build and efficiently stack pallets with finished products.Prepare pallets for shipment.Contribute to the overall facility production goals on a daily basis.Other duties as assigned. Responsibilities: Maintain a safe work environment with a safety first mindset.Follow all safety processes and procedures.Operate power tools and hand tools to complete assigned tasks. Qualifications: Must be at least 18 years of age.Must have at least 1 year of manufacturing experience as a Laborer.Dependability to report to work is a must.Must be able to read a tape measure.Must be able to effectively use a variety of hand tools.Must be able to read and interpret simple shop drawings.Bilingual (English and Spanish, both oral and written) is a plus.Must pass a drug screen and background check.Must be authorized to work in the United States.Must have a valid state-issued drivers license. Education: High school diploma or GED preferred. Supervisory requirements: None Competencies: Ability to prioritize work tasks and multi-task.Ability to withstand extreme temperatures (hot and cold) and outside elements.Ability to stand/walk/crouch/bend frequently throughout entire shift (up to 10 hours).Ability to lift 50 pounds regularly.Ability and willingness to work overtime as needed.Effective communication skills, both written and verbal, bilingual (English and Spanish) is preferred.Must be able to form advantageous work relationships with peers, managers and plant management.
