Oral surgery assistants provide critical pre-, peri-, and post-operative support to oral surgeons . Key duties include sterilizing surgical instruments, taking diagnostic X-rays or CT scans, monitoring patient vitals, and preparing the operating room. They also assist chairside during complex procedures and oversee patient recovery and discharge.
