Description:
POSITION SUMMARY:
Perform routine and extensive range of work in the repair and general maintenance of facilities, buildings, and equipment under general supervision. They execute work within established procedures and process under both verbal and written instructions.
PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Assist with repair or general maintenance work of facilities to include electrical, mechanical, plumbing, painting and roof repairs.
- Preventative maintenance and repair of HVAC units to include filter changes on all air handling and filtration systems.
- Servicing emergency equipment, reporting mechanical malfunctions to party for action.
- Moving and assisting in transportation of furniture and equipment.
- Organizing and inventory of spare equipment parts
- Entering data in CMMS system and interpreting results for predictive maintenance.
- Participation in TPM and Lean events.
- Assist in troubleshooting 480, 220/240, 120 and low voltage control circuits.
- Assist with repair/replacement of hydraulic, pneumatic and machine tool lubrication systems.
- Perform preventative maintenance on machine tools in accordance with CMMS tasks.
- Working at heights up to 40 feet using ladders, scissors lift and boom lift.
- Required to travel between Newnan, GA and LaGrange, GA on occasion.
EDUCATION AND WORK EXPERIENCE:
- Must have a high school diploma or GED equivalent
- Must be enrolled in a maintenance technical certification program or equivalent
- Ability to use efficiently various power and hand tools.
- Ability to operate a forklift.
- Should follow oral or written instructions.
- Communicate efficiently and fluently in both written and oral form.
- Ability to establish and maintain effective and cooperative working relationships.
