Position Summary The Account Manager is a key member of the Reinsurance and Specialty Business team, instrumental in facilitating the administration of active Program business, including associated underwriting, claims, accounting, data requirements, reinsurance, projects, and reporting. Responsibilities Oversee the Specialty team's active business by fostering regular collaboration with team members, internal departments, and external partners, including program partners, third-party administrators (TPAs), reinsurance brokers, and reinsurers.Assist leadership in the strategic development, execution, and management of Specialty insurance and reinsurance coverages, assisting on corporate components as required.Monitor program performance, provide comprehensive status reports, organize program meetings and devise effective solutions to address any challenges that arise.Collaborate with both internal and external audit teams to ensure compliance and transparency.Engage in the renewal process and negotiation of terms, including preparing contracts that align with financial conditions, resources, and contractual obligations.Develop proposals for active programs for review and facilitate resolution actions as needed.Collaborate with colleagues to ensure program compliance, robust reporting, and optimal program performance.Serve as the primary liaison between the Company and program stakeholders, fostering strong relationships.Participate in departmental training and engage in ongoing professional development opportunities. Perform other duties as assigned. Qualifications Bachelors degree in Risk Management or a related disciplineor equivalent combination of education and/or experienceThree or more years of insurance experience in programs and reinsurance related areasKnowledge of basic accounting, law, insurance, business and corporate process Skill in interpersonal interactions, capable of effective collaboration with both internal and external stakeholders; skill in customer service and problem solvingAbility to thrive in a team environment and to uphold ethical and confidentiality standards with a professional demeanor in all work circumstancesSkill in completing tasks, working under pressure and complying with tight deadlinesAbility to multi-task with keen attention to detail and accuracyCapacity to be on-site at the company headquarters and to travel and work autonomously while ensuring transparent communication with internal leadershipProficient in both verbal and written communicationProficient with Microsoft Office Suite and function specific software applications Lets talk benefits!
