Description:
Americold Internship Experience (AIE): The Americold Summer Internship Experience is a 12-week, full time, paid internship that takes place over the summer term in various locations throughout the country. The internship opportunity will afford our interns to better understand of the supply chain industry, work on challenging and industry-specific projects, plus the ability to collaborate with organizational leaders, colleagues, and peers.
As an Americold Intern, the experience you will gain here will not only be essential to your personal and professional growth and development, but your contributions can make a vital difference for our company.What You'll Do: - Will support strategic initiatives aimed at transforming Americold's global facilities through innovative engineering solutions
- Work closely with cross-functional teams to collect data, analyze performance, and recommend improvements that align with Americold's goal of enhancing operational efficiency and sustainability
- Key Responsibilities under the close supervision and support of Senior Director, Global Built Environment Innovation:
- Project Execution
- Conduct data collection through facility visits, employee interviews, and system analysis.
- Analyze operational data to identify trends, inefficiencies, and opportunities for innovation.
- Innovation & Strategic Exposure
- Support the development of innovation strategies that align with Americold's goal of improving Total EBITDA margin by 5% by 2027.
- Assist in building execution plans for innovative initiatives, including capital investment tracking and performance measurement.
- Communication & Reporting
- Deliver weekly presentations to update stakeholders on project progress.
- Prepare and present a final executive-level presentation
What Experience You Need: - Current rising junior or senior enrolled at an accredited college/university for an undergraduate degree Chemical, Electrical Mechanical, Agricultural, Robotics or similar program from an ABET accredited engineering program.
- Strong communication skills, listening and questioning for understanding
- Ability to communicate through organization using telephone, email, text, messenger, Teams meetings and presentations
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to query and analyze complex data sets and derive meaningful insights
- Excellent technical skills including a strong command of Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.)

- Time management, ability to create their own schedule and meet their schedules milestones

- Experience managing and analyzing data utilizing Excel and/or other applicable software
