This position can be remote but candidates must be currently located in the US in Eastern or Central time zones and preference will be given to those near our Norcross, GA or Omaha, NE office.Applicants must be authorized to work for any employer in the U.S. Visa sponsorship or assumption of a of an sponsored Visa is not available at this time.Job Summary: The Senior Security Analyst protects the confidentiality and availability of software, systems and information owned, controlled, used and managed by the company. The position is responsible for researching, recommending and implementing changes to procedures and systems to enhance information systems security. Additionally, the position develops information security systems, enhancements, and support processes that meet external and internal customer requirements and security policy while effectively interacting with existing systems and support processes. This position must demonstrate leadership in the realm of information security to internal and external customers including the mentoring of less experienced security staff. Normally receives little instruction on day-to-day work, general instructions on new assignments.
Job Responsibilities: - Configures and validates secured environments. Monitors, evaluates and maintains secured networks and environments through the use of information security tools, processes, and procedures.
- Reviews, documents, and takes action to ensure that electronic, computer and development environments meet security policy.
- Gathers security related information across multiple electronic, computer and development environments. Identifies, summarizes, reviews, and reports potential/actual actions that may jeopardize information security environments.
- Participates in information security audits to proactively minimize and eliminate information security vulnerabilities. Responds to information security incidents and assists with internal information security investigations.
- Assists with ongoing information security awareness and training program.
- Researches, recommends and implements changes to procedures and systems to enhance information systems security
- Participates in the development of information security systems, enhancements, and support processes.
- Performs security quality assurance testing. Implements firewall rules and assists in managing intrusion detection solutions, including distributing security alerts to responsible technology and business owners as well as responding to security alerts. Participates in the development of technical security standards for system platforms and performs platform vulnerability management.
- Develops technical specifications to satisfy customer requirements and meet security policy which represent efficient and effective solutions in relationship to operational costs, usability, and maintainability.
- Performs detailed security evaluations associated with designing and installing owned and third-party software, systems, components, and hardware.
- Mentors less experienced security staff.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Understand and adhere to all corporate policies to include but not limited to the ACI Code of Business Conduct and Ethics.
Knowledge, Skills and Experience required for the job: - Bachelor's degree in computer science, MIS, or related field or equivalent experience.
- 5 years' experience in information security in various security disciplines.
- Extensive knowledge of Qualys platform to include report writing.
Preferred Knowledge, Skills and Experience needed for the job: - Ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously.
- Knowledge of NorthStar a bonus.
- Ability to implement and work with APIs.
- Some database administration skills preferred.
- Advanced knowledge of defined security standards and frameworks.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong attention to detail.
