Description:

ACI Worldwide is looking to fill one Senior Architect position based out of its Norcross, Georgia office located at 705 Westech Drive NW, Norcross, GA 30092 (may telecommute part of time from home residence within Atlanta, GA metropolitan area). Domestic and international travel required up to 10% of the time dependent upon business needs.

Job Summary: Responsible for synthesizing customer requirements, the technology stack, and the construction of ACI applications. Understand and refine product and customer business requirements. Translate business requirements into specific systems, applications or process design direction for ACI applications. Determine the best design patterns and application architecture for addressing business problems at hand. Lead the design and implementation phase including mentoring to Software Engineering staff. Ensures Best Practices across the organization in designated areas of expertise. Stay abreast of applicable technologies, contributing to the direction setting of a unified enterprise architecture.

Job Accountabilities:
  • Provides architectural and big picture oversight and creates Architectural Specification for the development of new or enhanced products and/or services.
  • Supports development and product teams by providing high-level analysis and design reviews and subject matter expertise in technology and design.
  • Provides subject matter expertise for non-functional requirements such as performance, scalability and security. Provides testing guidance for non-functional requirements.
  • Oversees end-to-end solution quality when integrating multiple independent applications as a payment solution.
  • Liaises with technical leadership from other product teams to ensure end-to-end solution compatibility.
  • Oversees security vulnerability identification, analysis, remediation and reporting for assigned products.
  • Manages 3rd party component identification and reporting.
  • Researches and evaluates new technologies, design patterns, and software products to determine feasibility and desirability of incorporating their capabilities within the company's products.
  • Maintains cross-product architectural knowledge, leveraging reuse of applicable technologies and techniques from other products into project product designs, where beneficial and appropriate. Liaises with
  • Product Management team for roadmap and capacity planning. Provides technical expertise for regulatory and compliance audits.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
  • Understand and adhere to all corporate policies to include but not limited to the ACI Code of Business Conduct and Ethics.


MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS: Bachelor's Degree (foreign equivalent accepted) in computer science, business (with a computer science or related concentration), or a related field and 15 years' experience as a software engineer or a related position.

Experience must include the following specific experience and skills:
  • 15 years' related experience including but not limited to technical product architecture and product development experience, design, architectural modeling, documentation experience.
  • 10 years' experience in the design and development of components for the Postilion Payments Software Suite including in-store components, transaction switching components, tokenization components and back-office components.
  • Extensive experience in designing and developing highly performant, fault tolerant, mission critical software operating in a 24x7 environment.
  • Ability to engage in domestic and international travel required up to 10% of the time dependent upon business needs.
