Lab Systems Automation Lead This position reports to the Senior Manager - QA Systems & Applications and is based at Helsingborg, Sweden.

What you will do The Lab Systems Automation Lead is responsible for providing site level support for the Kenvue laboratory systems (LIMS, Empower, SDMS, ComplianceBuilder). Primary responsibilities include implementation of solutions in the Kenvue laboratories to automate processes related to instrument data transfer and driving laboratories towards a paperless laboratory environment through electronic lab notebooks and test method execution.
Additionally this role will identify improvement areas, and recommend process changes to correct issues improve lab processes. This role will also support the resolution of system related issues and fixes, master data setup, and automation of lab processes via LIMS system connections and test scripts.
Key Responsibilities
Integration Execution and Support - Design and implement automation solutions for Kenvue lab systems to ensure seamless integration of laboratory data from standalone instruments.
- Develop and standardize the maintenance of scripts and standard protocols for instrument integration
- Design, implement, and maintain integrations between laboratory instruments and information management systems (LIMS). Ensure that laboratory systems are interconnected to facilitate efficient data flow.
- Lead integration projects from concept through to implementation, ensuring all milestones and deadlines are met.
- Coordinate with IT, laboratory staff, and external vendors to execute integration projects. Provide technical support and troubleshooting for laboratory systems and integration issues.
- Provide support for projects to build electronic lab notebook templates in conjunction with IT
- Ensure all integrations comply with industry standards and local regulatory requirements. Implement security protocols to protect sensitive laboratory data.
- Develop and maintain documentation related to integration SOPs, User Guides, protocols, etc. Ensure the accuracy and integrity of data transferred between systems. Work with data management teams to enhance data quality and reporting capabilities.
- Conduct training sessions for laboratory staff on new systems and integration processes. Keep up-to-date with the latest technologies and best practices in laboratory integration.
LIMS Project and Platform support - Provide support and troubleshooting for Kenvue LIMS system in conjunction with the global business and IT teams
- Support alignment of site/regional requirements for new LIMS system implementations and enhancements that align with Global solution and design.
- Support Global Master data community of practices so that master data requirements are adopted consistently across internal manufacturing sites. Where applicable support updates and implementation of master data objects relevant to the business requirements and processes.
- Recommend changes to methods and procedures to address improvement areas
- Write, review and modify standard test/operational procedures
- Lead and participate on process improvement teams
What we are looking for Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field
- 6-8 years of experience in automation engineering or LIMS/laboratory management systems (including Labware pharma template experience), or any combination thereof
- Experience in Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) methodologies and computer system validation required
- Programming acumen for LIMS file based integration
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
- 6-8 years related experience in quality control process analysis
- Experience in process improvement methodologies
- Professional fluency in Swedish & English
Desired Qualifications
- Experience with automation tools such as Selenium, Jenkins, and Robot Framework
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Proficiency in data analysis tools and techniques
