Westminster Senior Care Pharmacy is hiring!

Description:

The Westminster Pharmacy is seeking to fill a full-time Lead Technician at its location in Orlando, FL. Under the general direction of the Pharmacist in Charge, the Lead Technician oversees technicians and daily technical operations in the pharmacy to ensure adequate workflow for optimal drug delivery.

Assist Pharmacist in Charge in:

  • Overseeing the daily technical operations in the pharmacy to ensure adequate workflow for optimal drug delivery.
  • Assigning technicians to assist in areas of need or fills into any area in need of assistance.
  • Acting as a resource to answer questions regarding policies and procedures or any general query that employees may have about department protocol.
  • Promoting the development of individuals and the success of the team.
  • Training new employees.
  • Ensuring exceptional customer service and resolving customer service complaints.
  • Ensuring that all areas of the pharmacy (refill, processing, filling, compliance packaging, IV room, pharmacy automation, customer service) are running efficiently.
  • Maintaining inventory (e.g., cycle counts, expired med mgmt, inventory clean-up).
  • Executing or implementing new automation projects (e.g. Parata, Med Dispense, etc).
  • Effectively and harmoniously interacts with facilities, physicians, and pharmacy employees at all levels; promoting teamwork and demonstrating strong leadership skills.
  • Communicates effectively with residents, families, staff, services and government agencies.
  • Various reports as requested by management, customers and residents.

Schedule may include weekend and/or nights.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Current State Pharmacy Technician license and certification.
  • 1-3 years LTC Pharmacy Technician experience required.
  • Minimum 1 year of IV admixture and compounding experience required in LTC, hospital, or home infusion pharmacy setting.
  • High School Diploma or equivalent GED.
  • Strong knowledge of Brand/Generic drugs required.

Proficiency in Word and Excel
