Create an Exceptional Stay for Every Pet Veterinary Healthcare Associates (VHA) is seeking a compassionate, dependable Pet Resort Team Member & Veterinary Assistant to care for pets staying on our campus while supporting our General Practice team. The heart of this role is providing exceptional daily care and a safe, clean, comfortable experience for our boarding guests. You'll spend much of your day caring for pets through feeding, walking, enrichment, cleaning, monitoring, and personalized attention while keeping pet parents connected throughout their stay. Because our Pet Resort is part of an integrated veterinary campus, you'll also have the opportunity to develop veterinary assistant skills and support our clinical team with patient care, diagnostics, and hospital operations. What You'll Do Provide attentive daily care for boarding pets, including feeding, fresh water, walks, enrichment, bedding, and comfort Monitor pets throughout their stay and promptly communicate changes in behavior, appetite, comfort, or health Complete boarding intake and discharge processes while helping pets and their families feel welcomed and cared for Provide daily photos and updates to pet parents as directed Perform requested pet-care services such as baths, brushing, and nail trims Maintain clean, sanitary, comfortable kennels, runs, boarding areas, and shared spaces Complete feeding, walking, enrichment, monitoring, and boarding documentation accurately and on time Follow infection prevention, sanitation, biosecurity, and patient safety protocols Assist with hospitalized patient care, including feeding, walking, hygiene, bedding, and comfort Support veterinarians and veterinary technicians with patient handling, restraint, examinations, treatments, and diagnostics Assist with sample collection, laboratory submissions, medication preparation, and routine patient care under appropriate supervision Support client check-in, discharge, and communication as needed Work collaboratively with the Pet Resort, General Practice, and hospital teams to provide an exceptional experience for pets and their families
