Description:
Overview Florida Detroit Diesel Allison is searching for a Diesel Parts Coordinator.
Position Summary Responsible for working with internal and external customers to place orders, place quotes, resolve problems, and enter parts information into Oracle.
Responsibilities - Use part number system to locate part numbers, pricing information, and unit serial numbers.
- Create part numbers and identify prices and brand codes.
- Interact with project managers, engineers, and technical writers to create spare parts lists.
- Provide backup for other employees in the department as needed.
- Will communicate with some foreign offices and customers.
- Will work with price margins, price quotes, and sales orders.
- Compile, sort, and verify accuracy of data information entered and make necessary corrections.
Qualifications - Ability to perform work accurately and thoroughly.
- Ability to communicate effectively using the written and spoken word.
- Ability to use thinking and reasoning to solve a problem.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Ability to take care of the customers’ needs while following company procedures.
- Ability to pay attention to the minute details of a project or tasks.
- Ability to make decisions or take actions to solve a problem or reach a goal.
- Possessing the trait of being organized or following a systematic method of performing a task.
- Ability to complete assigned tasks under stressful situation.
Education: High School Graduate or General Education Degree (GED) and two to four years related experience.
Computer Skills: Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook).
Excel skills should be at the intermediate level.
Prior experience with JD Edwards, Oracle, or other ERP systems preferred.
Other Requirements: Familiarity with quote protocol, INCO terms, and export requirements. Basic geographical knowledge.
