Your 'day to day':

We are seeking a highly skilled and innovative Sr. Data Engineer within Data Services team. This role combines hands-on technical expertise with leadership responsibilities to deliver high-quality data assets, products, and services to accelerate fit for purpose data availability for insights activation. The ideal candidate will have deep technical acumen, experience handling structured and unstructured data, and a strong understanding of agile principles and automation practices across QA, DevOps, and security governance.
  • Design, develop, and implement scalable and secure data architectures and pipelines using the DPAAS tech stack (Snowflake, AWS, Azure, Matillion, Atlan, Profisee, Power BI, and Databricks).
  • Drive automation in QA, DevOps, and security governance to enhance platform reliability, security, and operational efficiency.
  • Lead and mentor a team of data engineers and architects, fostering a culture of technical excellence and continuous learning.
  • Translate business requirements into technical designs, ensuring alignment with business goals and platform capabilities including structured and unstructured data.
  • Implement best practices in Data Engineering, performance optimization, and reliability of data pipelines
  • Work with data scientists to operationalize AI/ML models and integrate them into production-ready data pipelines.
  • Develop and monitor data quality metrics and ensure business data and reporting needs are met ensuring data privacy and compliance with relevant regulations.

Who we're looking for:
  • Legally authorized to work in the U.S.
  • Commutable distance to Tampa, FL.
  • 5+ years experience with the DPAAS tech stack: Snowflake, AWS, Azure, Matillion.
  • Expertise in data pipeline development, ETL/ELT processes, and cloud-based data warehouse optimization.
  • Familiarity with programming languages such as SQL, Python, and Scala.
  • Working experience using tools like Atlan, Profisee for MDM, Power BI, and Databricks preferred
  • Proven experience managing and mentoring teams in data engineering or related fields.
  • Demonstrated expertise in automating QA processes, DevOps pipelines, FinOps and security governance practices.
  • Knowledge of data mesh principles and implementing distributed data architecture.

Annual Base Salary Range: $96, 000 - $120, 000
