We are currently seeking a talented and enthusiastic Orthodontic Assistant to join our Palm Harbor, FL team. If you're looking for a rewarding role where your work truly matters, we want to hear from you!
Assist Orthodontists chairside with procedures
Welcome and escort patients, creating a warm and friendly atmosphere
Take X-rays and photographs (including panorex and ceph) as directed by the provider
Set up and break down operatories and maintain cleanliness between patients
Ensure the clinic is fully stocked and organized
Perform sterilization and ensure compliance with OSHA and state regulations
Support front desk operations, including scheduling, check-in, and documentation
Help manage lab cases—receiving, shipping, and organizing retainers, appliances, and aligners
Basic Requirements:
2–5 years of orthodontic assisting experience
Vocational/Technical training or Associate’s Degree
Current Radiology Certification and DPH Dental Assistant License (required)
Familiarity with dental software, Microsoft Word, and email systems
Ability to lift up to 25 lbs. with or without accommodation
Preferred Qualifications:
Skilled in aligner attachments, debands, separators, impressions, and arch-wire adjustments
Experienced in intraoral scanning and taking high-quality dental photos
Ability to consult with patients/parents and present treatment plans
Strong communication skills with both patients and coworkers
Organized, self-motivated, and able to lead by example
Experience with patients with special healthcare needs is a plus!
