Nemours Children's Hospital, Florida is seeking a Registered Behavior Technician (FULL-TIME), to join our team in Downtown Orlando.
Qualified candidates will have RBT certification and must be working toward Certification in Behavior Analysis.Located in Orlando, FL, Nemours Children's Hospital is the newest addition to the Nemours integrated healthcare system. Our 130-bed pediatric hospital also features the area's only 24-hour Emergency Department designed just for kids as well as outpatient pediatric clinics including several specialties previously unavailable in the region. In keeping with our goal of bringing Nemours care into the communities we serve; we also provide specialty outpatient care in several clinics located throughout the region.
The Behavior Technician will: - Collect data for each child's performance on a daily basis, both acceleration and deceleration.
- Conduct individual teaching sessions for each child as assigned - schedule changes daily.
- Assist in ensuring cleanliness and orderliness of the therapy rooms.
- Cares for child with toileting, dressing, grooming, feeding, and all other self-care programs and needs.
- Communicate session outcome with parents/caregiver.
- Assist in developing training materials that are up to date with current technologies on a daily basis.
- Graph all data as assigned.
- Assist in designing data sheets and graphs.
- Provide input for programmatic decisions.
- Attend all weekly staff meetings.
- Perform other duties as required
- Adheres to all Nemours policies and procedures
Qualified Candidates will: - Have completed at least 2 years of college and currently in a 4-year program with anticipated graduation date. (Bachelor's degree PREFERRED)
- Proficient in all aspects of Microsoft Office.
- Must be a Registered Behavioral Technician (RBT) by the BACB, or
- Registered Behavioral Technician status must be maintained throughout the duration of employment
