Description:

Nemours is seeking a Physician Assistant to join our Urology Team in Orlando, Florida!

Our Urology providers are experts at making kids feel better. We also know how to explain complicated urological problems in a way that kids understand and strive to make sure every patient receives the best care possible. Currently the department consists of 3 Physicians and 2 Physician Assistants who work collaboratively to achieve the best possible outcomes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provides care to pediatric patients with acute or chronic illnesses, with a patient/family centered care focus.
  • Elicits comprehensive or focused/interval health history(ies).
  • Participates in daily rounds on patients admitted to the Urology service.
  • Performs consults as needed on patients referred to the Urology service.
  • Performs complete or focused physical examinations.
  • Writes Admission, Discharge, pre-operative and post-operative orders
  • Orders, performs, and/or interprets diagnostic or screening tests.
  • Orders and interprets radiographs and ultrasounds within the PA scope of practice.

Qualifications
  • Prior Urology experience strongly preferred.
  • Florida Physician Assistant Licensure
  • American Heart Association BLS
  • Experience working with Pediatrics or Child Health preferred.
