Description:
Nemours Children's Health is seeking an experienced leader to become Chief of Pediatric Nephrology in Jacksonville, Florida.
The successful candidate will oversee day-to-day operations of the Pediatric Nephrology Division and be responsible for the strategic, clinical, educational and research goals of the division. The leader will oversee the delivery of high-quality, evidence-based care to children with acute and chronic kidney diseases and provide leadership to a multidisciplinary team. The Chief will also play a key role in mentoring faculty, developing programs and advancing the division's mission.
Key responsibilities: - Provide expert care for pediatric patients with a full spectrum of nephrology conditions, including acute kidney injury, chronic kidney disease, hypertension, glomerular disorders, dialysis, and kidney transplantation
- Lead the nephrology team in delivering coordinated, family-centered care
- Maintain an active clinical practice and participate in consultative services
- Ensure adherence to best practices, quality, safety, and regulatory standards
- Develop staffing plans, manage provider schedules, and support faculty recruitment and retention
- Collaborate with hospital administration and other departments on budgeting, clinical program development and resource allocation
- Represent the division in hospital and departmental leadership forums

Qualifications: - MD or DO
- Board certified in specialty
- Eligible for unrestricted Florida medical license and DEA
- Minimum 5 years of experience
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team
