Description:
Nemours Children's Health is seeking an accomplished Neonatologist to become Chief of the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit and lead our team in Jacksonville, Florida.
The Chief will oversee the day-to-day operations of the Level IV NICU at the nationally recognized Wolfson Children's Hospital. Candidates should have demonstrated leadership experience and excellent clinical and interpersonal skills as well as a high regard for teamwork.
Key responsibilities: - Provide expert clinical care to critically ill and premature newborns in the NICU.
- Guide medical decision-making and promote best practices in neonatal-perinatal medicine.
- Lead complex case management and serve as a resource to the care team.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory, safety, and quality standards (e.g., Joint Commission, CMS, state guidelines).
- Lead, supervise, and evaluate a multidisciplinary team of neonatologists, nurse practitioners, and allied health professionals.
- Manage staffing models, scheduling, and resource allocation.
- Develop and enforce clinical protocols, policies, and procedures.
- Collaborate with hospital administration on budgeting, planning, and service line development.

Qualifications: - MD or DO
- Board certified/eligible in area of specialty
- Eligible for unrestricted Florida medical license and DEA
- Minimum 5 years of experience
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team
