What We're Looking For:

Michael Baker International is seeking to hire a Planning Intern to support our office in Tallahassee, FL. The Planning Intern will provide technical support for Michael Baker's multimodal transportation and community planning and economic development services.

What You'll Do:
  • Provide multimodal transportation planning support in one or more of the following modes: surface transportation, public transportation, bicycle and pedestrian, ports and waterways, rail freight, and aviation
  • Assist in the preparation of written technical planning studies and recommendations, including but not limited to long range plans, transit development plans, feasibility studies, etc.; Conduct analytical research with supervision on transportation policy and public transportation programs and issues;
  • Develop and maintain project databases utilizing MS Excel, MS Access, and MS SQL server
  • Conduct field work as required.

What You Need to Succeed:
  • Pursuing Bachelor's or Master's degree in related field required
  • Minimum 2 years of completed coursework for those pursuing Bachelor's degree
  • Minimum 3.0 GPA

Compensation:

The approximate compensation range for this position is $20 - $25 per hour. This compensation range is a good faith estimate for the position at the time of posting. Actual compensation is dependent upon factors such as education, qualifications, experience, skillset, and physical work location.
