Description:
The Production Lead Technician assists with troubleshooting and assures all equipment maintains quality standards and efficiency. This position will be reporting to the Shift Supervisor and will serve as a backup in their absence. (
This is meant to be a guide. Duties may vary dependent upon management.) Essential Position Functions: - Assist or oversee trouble shooting envelope equipment.
- Meet with the supervisor daily to discuss any problems and recommend any changes necessary.
- Assist machine adjusters with machine repairs.
- Manage and direct multiple teams.
- Maintain production above running standards.
- Study and recommend changes to improve methods for maintenance of the folding machines.
- Assist adjusters in determining if any Maintenance personnel are necessary for completing a task.
- Brings any scheduling concerns to the Supervisor's attention.
- Use parts drawing manuals to locate parts and materials needed for envelope equipment in MP2.
- Measure and inspect specifications of envelope for quality checks and job approval.
- Training of new hires (Adjusters, Operators, Packers)
- Communicate with support teams (Graphics, Customer Service, Scheduling)
- Fulfill certain Shift Supervisor's duties in their absence.
- Full responsibility for the quality of the product produced within the shift in line with company QC procedures and processes.
- Full responsibility for shift management including Safety, Quality and Production targets and the efficient running of the production process.
- Ensures that effective communication is given either verbally or written to all shift employees.
- Maintain high housekeeping standards to ensure a clean and safe work environment.

Education and/or Experience: - High school diploma or GED required.
- Knowledge of envelope machinery (627s, RA, SWs, 202s)
- Must have intermediate Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) skills.
- Must be able to efficiently use a Windows-based computer.
- Ability to prioritize and complete assignments accurately and in a timely manner.
- Able to effectively handle multiple priorities with a strong attention to detail in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong interpersonal, organizational, oral, and written communications skills.
- Must be able to read and communicate in English, for safe and effective performance of the job and business operations.
- Must be able to work alone, and with a team.
- Must be able to pass a drug screen and criminal background check.

- Must be able to work independently with little supervision.
Work Environment
- Employee works primarily in a fast-paced manufacturing / warehouse environment.
- Excessive noise environment. Hearing, Eye and Feet protection is required and provided.
