Description:
The Label Sales Support Specialist function serves the MPEC commercial organization by supporting sales activities for a portfolio of accounts to achieve long-term success and drive business growth. This role works with sales executives and regional sales managers to develop positive relationships, support customers' needs, complete order fulfillment, execute quality oversight and generate incremental sales. This is meant to be a guide. Duties may vary dependent upon management.)Essential Position Functions: - Support order quoting and order processing activities, working with sales and branch Sales Support Specialists.
- Help manage our sales activities, pipeline reporting in CRM. Review and analyze reporting, including special order requests, customer bid files, and sales/gross profit margin data.
- Interface with clients to ensure order details, graphical proofs, delivery requirements and timelines.
- Manage and grow existing accounts, re-engage former customers and cross-sell opportunities.
- Develop new business with existing clients and/or identify areas of improvement to meet or exceed sales quotas.
- Provide unmatched customer service by communicating products and services that address their needs; provide product details, pricing and insights on delivery and service; and sharing the MPEC brand difference.
- Identify and build relationships with prospective customers.
- Engage lead opportunities through lead sources and self-generated opportunities.
- Respond to customers with accurate and complete information by using system tools and resources.
- Respond to customers for inventory questions, quotes, and product availability.
- Work effectively and collaboratively with customer service, operations departments, location management and sales teams.
- Perform administrative duties, such as budgeting, reporting or other standard operating procedures as required.
- Partner with credit team and/or management to open and establish new accounts as needed.
- Review and analyze reporting, special-order requests, customer bid files, and sales/gross profit margin data.
- Stay informed of market conditions, product innovations and the competitive landscape.
- May include limited travel, both locally and out-of-state, as needed.
- May be required to attend industry trade shows.
- Other duties as required.

Education and/or Experience: - High school diploma or GED required. College degree preferred or equivalent experience.
- 5-10 years' sales and/or customer service experience required.
- Two or more years of label experience is preferred but not required.
- Previous experience in outbound call center or related sales position preferred.
- Proven track record delivering on defined sales objectives required.
- Previous account management experience preferred.
- Experience delivering client-focused solutions for customer needs.
- Demonstrated ability to take initiative and act as a self-starter: competitive, self-confident and growth oriented.
- Ability to effectively utilize technology for order entry systems and responding to customers through email, text, voicemail, CRM and new technologies.
- Ability to engage with others across all levels of the organization.
- Must have intermediate Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) skills.
- Must be able to efficiently use a Windows-based computer
- Must be able to work alone, and with a team.Must be able to read and communicate in English, for safe and effective performance and business operations.
- Must be able to pass a drug screen and criminal background check.
