The Staff Accountant is responsible for assisting with routine accounting activities in support of the monthly and annual close process, including analysis of accounts, reconciliations, posting journal entries, and preparing financial statements and analysis packages. Also provides support for the annual audit, annual budget process and ad hoc analysis support for special projects.

- Assist in providing information and analyses to support preparation of the annual income tax returns of the Company.
- Assist in researching and implementing of new accounting standards.
- Assist in preparing monthly financial analysis packages and financial statements.
- Provide assistance to branch management regarding questions about financial reports and transactions.
- Assist with special projects and other duties, as requested.
- Other duties as required.

Education and/or Experience: - High school diploma or GED required.
- Undergraduate Degree in Accounting or equivalent preferred
- CPA license preferred.
- 2+ years accounting experience preferred
- Must be proficient with Microsoft Office products, especially Excel.
- Must be comfortable using Company ERP computer system to provide and obtain financial and operational information.
- Must possess excellent analytical skills.
- Must have excellent knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles.
- Must have accuracy and attention to detail.
- Must be able to handle confidential information with discretion.
- Must be able to work well with others and be an effective team member.
- Must be organized, flexible and able to adjust to changing priorities.
- Must have intermediate Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) skills.
- Must be able to efficiently use a Windows-based computer.
- Ability to prioritize and complete assignments accurately and in a timely manner.
- Able to effectively handle multiple priorities with a strong attention to detail in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong interpersonal, organizational, oral, and written communications skills.
- Must be able to read and communicate in English, for safe and effective performance of the job and business operations.
- Must be able to work alone, and with a team.
- Must be able to pass a drug screen and criminal background check.
