It offers a range of products and services to meet the financial needs of its clients from retail lending, captive financing, and floorplan products to cash management, private banking, and payment processing.

As a Dealer Commercial Services Banker III, you will be the primary contact for our automotive commercial clients. This is a work from home role (with 20-80% of time spent in the field depending on pipeline and client needs) that can be based in or around the Northern Florida, Southern Georgia and Alabama market. This position has high internal and external visibility, reporting to the Region Sales Director, and collaborating with Dealer Relationship Managers to help drive indirect business from our commercial clients with an emphasis on our Private Label dealers (Subaru, Jaguar Land Rover, Maserati & Aston Martin. The role comprises both portfolio management and business development responsibilities. You are seen as a trusted advisor to both your existing and prospective clients in the region.

Job responsibilities
  • Drive the business' efforts to increase penetration of capital light products; deposit, treasury, merchant services and commercial card with current and prospective clients.
  • Partner with Private Label Captive Finance partners to increase market share of floor planned dealers for Subaru, Jaguar Land Rover, Maserati & Aston Martin.
  • Build an actionable pipeline of new prospects; including strong knowledge of and use of Salesforce.
  • Lead deal team discussions, presenting opportunities to Credit Executives, structuring deals in collaboration with underwriting partners in accordance with risk guidelines and prudent commercial lending principals
  • As a senior member of the region sales team, the ideal candidate is a champion that supports the inclusive and diverse culture that we embrace and is viewed as a peer-leader to the sales organization
  • Ensure adherence to all Know your Customer & Anti Money Laundering requirements controls on all existing and prospective relationships.
  • Partner with Bank colleagues in Business Banking, Middle Market, Wealth Management, and Consumer Banking to both identify new loan opportunities as well as to serve client needs outside of dealership operations.

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills
  • Minimum of 5 years of commercial lending and credit support related experience
  • Significant experience and knowledge with Bank products, including deposit accounts, treasury management, merchant services solutions, and commercial card.
  • Advanced lending experience to commercial automotive dealerships including floorplan, real estate, and acquisition financing. Ability to review, deliver and negotiate complex contracts and agreements.
  • Strong problem solving, verbal, and written communication skills
  • Extensive knowledge of treasury products and services
  • Prior territory management experience calling on auto dealers or business clients in an assigned geography
  • Travel 20-80% to visit existing clients and to prospect new relationships.

Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience, MBA or similar welcomed
  • Auto dealership experience
