The Facilities Supervisor is accountable for personnel supervision to ensure facilities system maintenance and operation to deliver good quality, safety, compliance, and productive workplace environment.

This role is responsible for the operation and compliance of all site facilities equipment and utilities (cGMP critical and non-critical), and employee supervision, providing a safe, balanced, engaging, and encouraging work experience.

High consideration for a candidate for this role will have experience in facilities systems and processes, with excellent leadership skills to lead people and maintain optimum operation.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise staff for the operation and maintenance of Facilities systems and building infrastructure.
  • Coordinate, organize, and leads activities for the team and contracted personnel.
  • Responsible and accountable for the safe execution of daily activities performed by the maintenance team, following statutory, environmental, regulatory (cGMP), corporate site, and team practices and procedures.
  • Facilitate communication and act as point of contact for the maintenance team. Liaison between Facilities and other departments as well as our IFM provider for hard and soft Facilities services.
  • Provides coaching and feedback to personnel.
  • Work with the Planner, Scheduler, and Reliability Engineer to prioritize activities and provide guidance.
  • Build connection with business units to support strategies and expectations.
  • Follows, develops, and reviews Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) and other GMP related documents.
  • Facilitate training to personnel and ensure training compliance.
  • Ensure good housekeeping practices in areas of responsibility to ensure high standard.
  • Assist in project activities such as construction, commissioning, and qualification of facilities systems.
  • Monitor operation to ensure optimum energy efficiency and uptime.
  • Provide technical assistance to maintenance personnel and other teams as the need arises.
  • Assist in the generation, review, and revision of CMMS PMs/PdMs procedures.
  • Develop and implement maintenance contracts and contractors for facilities systems.
  • Manage deviations and change requests to ensure compliance with Quality and EHS requirements.
  • Support and lead assigned on-site E& PS FM Strategic and Transformation Initiatives (e.g., Workplace Innovation, Crisis Management, Business Continuity, Risk Management, Asset Management, Supplier Strategy & Governance, Energy Management & Conservation, among others).
  • Participates in GMP audits regarding equipment operation, maintenance, and performance.
  • Align with all environmental, safety and occupational health policies.

Qualifications

Education:

  • Bachelor’s or equivalent university degree in Engineering, Business, Architecture, or other related field is required.

Experience and Skills:

Required:

  • 5 - 7 years of experience as a people leader supervising maintenance operations.
  • Demonstrated experience supervising staff with multi-layered abilities and managing vendors in a facility supervisory role within a manufacturing or healthcare environment.
  • Strong experience in a regulated industry
  • Knowledge of commercial / industrial equipment operations and maintenance to support facility functions
  • Strong leadership and technical skills
  • Strong communication skills both written and oral
  • Ability to adapt to emerging trends and industry innovations.
  • Ability to lead teams with varied skills through change and organizational transformation.
  • · Digital literacy, including confirmed understanding of MS Office suite.

Preferred:

  • Certifications such as CFM (Certified Facility Manager) or CPPM (Certified Project Portfolio Manager).
  • Confirmed knowledge in technical and business fields.
  • Strong record of partnership to ensure completion of tasks and people development.
  • Budget/financial leadership skills.
  • Experience in a manufacturing environment within Pharma, Medical Device, Consumer and/or Biotech industries.

Other:

  • Proficiency (oral & written) in the English language is required
  • Up to 10% travel is required
