Description:

Position Summary: The Tennis Operations Coordinator is the key operational support leader ensuring smooth execution of tennis program logistics, athlete experience, event coordination, and administrative systems.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead day-to-day athlete experience ensuring onboarding, communication, and athlete-focused events run smoothly.
  • Coordinate travel, scheduling, competitions, and event logistics in partnership with Assistant Director.
  • Executes and supports owned and third-party events together with Tournament Director.
  • Support tournament and special event operations including referee coordination.
  • Maintain administrative systems and compliance documentation (Teamworks, Smartabase, CoachNow, Playsight, GSA, FHSAA, NCAA, UTR, USTA, ITF, ATP, WTA).
  • Manage apparel, equipment inventory, and oversight compliance of corporate sponsor standards.
  • Serve as liaison to internal departments (Academics, Admissions, Housing, Health Services, APD) and external partners.
  • Assist with vendor coordination, supply orders, and expense reporting.
  • Provide operational reporting and feedback to leadership.
  • Provide on-site leadership during events and backup operational support.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Education, Sports Management or related field
  • Strong business acumen
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Experience in sales, marketing, business development or event management
  • Experience with spreadsheets and financial accountability
  • Experience with Word, Excel & PowerPoint
  • Knowledge of tennis scheduling
  • Ability to drive and manage department to hit short- and long-term strategic goals
  • Ability and desire to build collaborative relationships internally and externally
  • Ability to manage and influence at all levels of the organization
  • Ability to manage and run events/tournaments

Preferred Skills:

  • Bilingual
  • Collegiate or professional playing, coaching or managing experience
  • Valid Florida Driver’s License
  • CPR Certification

Physical Demands and Work Environment:

  • Ability to handle outdoor conditions for a reasonable period of time
  • Ability to move around campus including gym, turf, fields, etc.
  • Ability to work flexible hours to include nights, weekends and holidays
