A Banquet Set-Up Attendant is responsible for setting and cleaning banquet facilities for functions in the hotel's continuing effort to deliver outstanding guest service and financial profitability.
What will I be doing?As a Banquet Set-Up Attendant, you would be responsible for setting and cleaning banquet facilities for functions in the hotel's continuing effort to deliver outstanding guest service and financial profitability. Specifically, you would be responsible for performing the following tasks to the highest standards:
- 1. Set up banquet rooms and event spaces according to Banquet Event Orders (BEOs), including but not limited to chairs, staging, dance floors, linens and décor
- 2. Breakdown and reset rooms efficiently after events.
- 3. Maintain cleanliness of all banquet areas before, during and after events, including but not limited to vacuuming, trash removal, dusting and polishing)
- 4. Ensure back of house storage areas, banquet closets and hallways are organized and safe.
- 5. Report and/or resolve maintenance issues promptly.
- 6. Assist banquet servers, captains and catering staff during events as needed that includes but is not limited to refreshing water, replenishing supplies and moving furniture as required.
- 7. Respond quickly to guest or client requests during set up or events.
- 8. Uphold hotel service standards and maintain a professional appearance.
- 9. Properly handle, store and maintain banquet furniture, linens and equipment.
- 10. Monitor inventory levels and report shortages of supplies and/or damaged equipment.
- 11. Follow hotel procedures for lifting, moving and storing heavy items safely.
- 12. Work closely with Banquet team, catering staff and other hotel departments to ensure smooth event execution.
- 13. Communicate effectively with supervisors about event progress, issues or changes.
- 14. Follow schedules and task assignments both supervised and unsupervised to meet event timelines.
