SENIOR MANAGER OF MARKETING PROGRAMS & PARTNERSHIPS


GENERAL DESCRIPTION

Under the general direction of the Director of Marketing, the Senior Manager of Marketing Programs and Partnerships is responsible for conceiving and implementing sound strategies in the areas of marketing and community engagement to achieve specific growth objectives. The position will oversee the Marketing team’s in-person marketing efforts, including community event activations, celebrations, hosted events at the Airport, strategic engagement, in-kind marketing partnerships with community organizations, and TPA’s world-class public art program. The position oversees several significant ongoing projects simultaneously while juggling other assignments as they arise.

Compensation: $120, 000 and up based on compensation

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  • Accountable for the well-being and support of their direct reports, providing individual training for their job responsibilities and offering mentorship.
  • Evaluates the work performance of direct reports; engages in transparent performance check-ins and appraisals and takes necessary corrective action or disciplinary measures when required.
  • Ensures that direct reports comply with authority standards regarding personal appearance, fostering a professional work environment.
  • Oversees the maintenance and accountability of all direct reports' equipment, ensuring adherence to established guidelines and promoting operational efficiency.
  • Identifies, negotiates and implements in-kind sponsorship agreements with entities such as community and tourism organizations. where the Airport has a vested interest in helping welcome out-of-town visitors to our community. Must be able to align efforts in this area with the Marketing goals of the Authority.
  • Serves as point person for developing and maintaining strategic marketing relationships with organizations in TPA’s extended catchment areas from which it draws passengers.
  • Manages the effectiveness of in-person marketing activations within the community.
  • Develops and implements strategies to maximize opportunities.
  • Identifies and manages the business relationship aspects of projects within the Airport that include public displays or installations, both large and small projects as they may arise, that align with the Authority's strategic objectives.
  • Provides leadership for the team’s implementation and management of Tampa International Airport’s internationally acclaimed public art program, including both permanent and rotating installations that are aligned with TPA’s policies and strategic objectives for its art program.
  • Facilitates the team’s planning and execution of TPA’s annual “5k on the Runway.” Secures marketing sponsorships for the event to help offset costs.
  • Oversees the department’s events, providing support and strategic guidance for the planning and execution of those hosted by HCAA, large and small.
  • Supports content creation, content marketing strategies, and/or other marketing and communications functions as needed.

· Manages project budgets with a focus on financial prudence and strategic resource allocation.

· Regular and reliable attendance is required as an essential function of the position.

  • Occasional night and weekend work required.

REQUIRED FOR ALL HCAA JOBS

  • In the event of an emergency or disaster that impacts the Hillsborough County Aviation Authority (HCAA), an employee may be required to respond promptly to duties and responsibilities as assigned by the employee’s department or the HCAA Emergency Operations Center (EOC). Such assignments may be before, during, or after the emergency/disaster.
  • Complies with all HCAA Policies, Procedures, and Standards.


QUALIFICATIONS (EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, LICENSES & CERTIFICATIONS)

· Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, or a related field.

· Six (6) years of relevant experience in Marketing, Communications, and/or project management.

· Three (3) years of supervisory experience.

· Or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience.

· Must possess a valid Florida Driver License.

  • Skill in applying sound marketing judgment to develop and implement effective revenue-generating strategies.
  • Skill in Microsoft Office Suite, including PowerPoint.
  • Ability to leverage strong analytical and problem-solving skills to identify opportunities and drive effective solutions.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills to foster collaborative relationships and communicate effectively with diverse stakeholders.
  • Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment with exceptional attention to detail.
  • Ability to establish clear direction, motivate teams, and foster a work culture focused on ongoing learning and performance goals.
  • Ability to communicate effectively orally and in writing.
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with others within and outside the Authority.
  • Ability to handle restricted, sensitive, and confidential information.
  • Ability to provide outstanding customer service, serve the public, and represent the Authority with courtesy and professionalism.
