GENERAL DESCRIPTION

Under the general direction of the Materials Management Manager, the Property Control Specialist is responsible for managing central receiving, distribution and inventory utilized by Authority departments throughout the Airport. This role creates and maintains an inventory of organizational assets and inventory, conducting regular audits to ensure accuracy and compliance with policies and regulations, tracking the movement of assets within the organization, and overseeing the disposal of organizational assets.

COMPENSATION: $23.81/HOUR

FLSA STATUS: NON-EXEMPT


ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

· Performs receiving and delivery of goods to customers from departments across the Authority, including but not limited to, checking for damage, verifying quantities, and receiving into the Authority’s Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system.

· Establishes and maintains methods, procedures, and records to account for inventory and equipment purchases using the Authority’s ERP system.

· Maintains current records for a wide variety of accountable inventory, equipment, and materials.

· Performs reporting out of the Authority Inventory Management System, including daily, weekly, and monthly reporting, as required.

· Maintains an inventory of parts and equipment on hand.

· Coordinates with property custodians to ensure all property is accounted for.

· Research specifications to assist in determining appropriate inventory to purchase and prepares requisitions.

· Performs appraisals and/or assessments regarding the value of property based on condition and makes recommendations as to the appropriate disposition.

· Assigns property numbers, affix tags to accountable equipment, and records age, condition, and value.

· Assists with the Authority’s Fuel Management System, including monthly reporting.

· Initiates forms for the transfer of equipment.

· Regular and reliable attendance is required as an essential function of the position.

REQUIRED FOR ALL HCAA JOBS

  • In the event of an emergency or disaster that impacts the Hillsborough County Aviation Authority (HCAA), an employee may be required to respond promptly to duties and responsibilities as assigned by the employee’s department or the HCAA Emergency Operations Center (EOC). Such assignments may be before, during, or after the emergency/disaster.
  • Complies with all HCAA Policies, Standard Procedures, Rules and Regulations, and Operating Directives.

QUALIFICATIONS (EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, LICENSES & CERTIFICATIONS)

· High School Diploma or equivalent.

· Two (2) years experience in warehousing, and/or property control.

· Or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.

· Forklift certified or able to become forklift certified within 60 days of hire.

· Must possess a valid Florida Driver License.

· Frequent lifting up to 50 Ibs

· Frequent pushing, pulling & dragging

· Frequent use of van/medium-duty truck
