Description:
Under the general direction of the GA Capital Projects Manager, the GA Capital Projects Multitrades Worker III is responsible for performing a variety of capital facilities construction activities, including both interior and exterior building rehabilitation at the Authority’s three General Aviation airports. The role involves participating in the erection of small structures and complex alterations, as well as overseeing the repair and maintenance of various systems. Additionally, this position ensures that adequate building materials are maintained for project completion and includes responsibilities such as performing concrete and asphalt repairs.
This position requires flexibility to work rotating shifts, including days, evenings, overnights, weekends, and holidays, to meet the demands of our 24/7 operations.
Requires availability for emergency call-in.

COMPENSATION: $27.91 - $31.75 Based on Experience

COMPETENCIES
REQUIRED FOR ALL HCAA JOBS
QUALIFICATIONS (EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, LICENSES & CERTIFICATIONS)
High School Diploma or equivalent.
Two (2) years experience in construction, maintenance, or related field.
Or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
Must possess a valid Florida Driver License.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES
PHYSICAL ABILITIES
Continuous standing, walking and sitting
Frequent lifting up to 50 Ibs
Frequent bending, stooping, pushing, pulling, dragging
Reaching overhead, kneeling, crawling, and climbing up to 6 hours per day
Occasional typing
Frequent exposure to extreme weather, noxious fumes, and excessive noise
Navigate frequently heights and confined areas
Occasional exposure to chemicals
Frequent use of car/light truck
Frequent use of heavy equipment and power tools
