Required Qualifications (Competence, Knowledge, Skill and Abilities): Education: Maritime Academy graduate with bachelor's degree in marine field or acceptable technical and educational experience
Experience: 5 years or more experience in Safety Management including the preparation and execution of internal and external Quality, Environmental, Safety and Security audit programs
Languages: English
Skills/Software: Strong working knowledge of ISM, ISPS, MTSA, ISO 9001 and other associated regulatory compliance requirements
- Highly developed documentation, writing and verbal communication skills
- Strong project management skills
- Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, etc.)

- Ability to drive long distances (up to 5 hours) and/or travel by air to various domestic and foreign ports possibly requiring overnight stays.
- Ability to board vessels in port (requires using a gangway with a grade of 30-60 degrees).
- Ability to climb ladders and navigate over uneven surfaces during vessel visits.
- Ability to board vessels at anchor (climb a Jacob's ladder from a water taxi).
- Possess good sensory perception (sight, smell, hearing, touch).
- Ability to safely enter and inspect confined spaces.
- Willingness to remain accessible for communication and consultation on an around the clock basis and work unusual hours, including nights and weekends as required.
Duties and Responsibilities: Summary: The Audit Manager is responsible for overseeing Fairwater's Quality & Regulatory audit programs across the fleet. These responsibilities will include the management of audit planning and execution.
Key Responsibilities: - Support the Director of HSSQE in ensuring that the Company's Quality audit program is effectively implemented and remains in compliance with and certified by recognized authorities.
- Oversee the scheduling of internal and external audits, vessel and shore-side.
- Ensures Corrective Action Plans (CAPs) for all vessel findings discovered during internal company audits are established and executed as required.
- Conducts internal audits both ashore and aboard vessels as needed and, when required, conduct pre-audits to prepare the vessel's crew for external audits.
- Understand organization dynamics and drive marine standards practices and processes that translate business strategies into appropriate actions to act as a change driver.
- Maintain a good professional relationship as the point of contact with Classification Societies and the U.S. Coast Guard, working closely with them to assure continued compliance with the required audit requirements.
- Supports the drive to Goal Zero as outlined in the Safety Management Systems Health, Safety, Security, Quality and Environmental Policies.
- Performs other position related duties as specified by management.
