Cultivation Lead

The Cultivation Lead performs cannabis plant care in all stages of its life cycle. This position is considered a department expert, is cross trained and responsible for rotating between all functional areas, maintaining compliance, and supporting leadership with training responsibilities. Responsibilities & Duties Self-directed, anticipate instructions given by manager, and set the pace to support production goals and shifts in production demandsLead team in completing daily tasks and assignments within the established time frames and specificationsDemonstrate understanding of production goals and initiates team effort in meeting needs; provides course correction, when necessary, stock workstations with the necessary supplies and materials Ensure all tasks are completed within the established timeframes and specifications. Process transactions accurately and efficiently using a computerized systemComplete required data entry (logging transactions, transfers, and daily intake/outgoing product) using Excel and state electronic recordkeeping systems to maintain compliancePerform regular cycle counts, internal audits, and reconciliation processesMaintain accurate inventories, manifests, documentation, and reportsMaintain accurate labeling of all items, SRPs, and batchesComplete proper equipment maintenance and upkeepSupport management with training and development for team membersEnsure compliance with Company SOPs and state regulationsEnsure the work area is kept in clean and safe condition Champions a safe work environment by modeling safety procedures, wearing appropriate PPE, and reporting injuries, near misses, and hazards to management.Behave in a manner that is positive, productive, cooperative, and encourages teamworkPerforms other duties as assigned Qualifications & Experience Must be at least 21 years of ageHigh school diploma or GED required1-3 years of cultivation experience required1 year experience in a leadership role preferredProficiency with Microsoft Excel requiredExperience with inventory management, quality control, and recordkeeping preferred Competencies Attendance & PunctualityDependability & FlexibilityPositive, Productive, Cooperative, and Encourages TeamworkInterpersonal CommunicationResults Focused Physical Requirements Frequent repetitive hand motionManual dexterity is needed for manipulating hand toolsAbility to stand and walk for extended periods of time (8+ hours)Ability to lift and carry up to 50lbsFrequent standing, climbing stairs, crouching, handling, kneeling, pinching, pulling (horizontal and vertical), lifting (waist to shoulder), reaching (waist to shoulder and above shoulder), and reading.Occasional grasping, gripping, lifting above shoulder, sitting, stooping, and walking.Ability to use a step ladderVisual acuity is needed to accurately read small screens and labels Workplace Environment Warehouse/production facility environment with environmental controlsConsistent moderate background noise level due to machinery and HVACExposure to humidity, temperature changes, atmospheric conditions, and vibrationExposure to high heads, bright light where eye protection is requiredExposure to keef/dust and cannabis odorExposure to skin contact with plants, to which some individuals may be allergic (PPE provided) Note: This job description is intended to provide a general overview of the position and does not encompass every task or responsibility that may be required. Pay Range: $19.00 - $24.86 Insa is a multi-state employer, and this is the company-wide pay range. Offers will be provided in accordance with state-specific minimum wage guidelines.
