Work Arrangement:

Hybrid - Onsite 3 days per week. Second Shift hours - 10 am -7 pm.

Our Transportation Specialists all take pride in providing warfighter support. You will be responsible for the coordination of all warfighter essentials, from tissues to tanks.

What You'll Do:

Responsible for Supplier procurement, developing and maintaining Supplier relationships, and monitoring Supplier performance, ensuring customer service excellence.

Key Responsibilities:

• New Supplier/Vendor recruitment through a variety of methods to include cold calling, web-based tools, online research and outreach programs.

• Oversight of the onboarding process for new Suppliers, to include administration, contract management/compliance, and training.

• Create KPI's and various metrics that can be analyzed using scorecards and other reporting methods.

• Measure Supplier performance against metrics and maintain regular communication with Suppliers regarding performance.

• New Supplier/Vendor recruitment through a variety of methods to include cold calling, web-based tools, online research and outreach programs.

• Oversight of the onboarding process for new Suppliers, to include administration, contract management/compliance, and training.

• Create KPI's and various metrics that can be analyzed using scorecards and other reporting methods.

• Measure Supplier performance against metrics and maintain regular communication with Suppliers regarding performance.

• Host meetings with Suppliers as necessary to maintain relations and expand partnerships.

• Analyze, recommend, develop and lead implementation of opportunities for improvement that optimize Supplier performance.

• Develop award/recognition tools for high performing Suppliers and improvement plans for low/middle performers.

• Monitor improvement plans as necessary

• Work closely with internal customers in operations and sales to identify business needs as it relates to Supplier recruitment and development.

• Act as liaison between Suppliers and field support teams in operations to help resolve areas of concern.

• Act as escalation point for all Supplier related issues and assist in resolution.

• Participate in pricing exercises such as RFPs and bidding events when necessary.

• Stay abreast of current issues surrounding the transportation industry and identify potential impacts. Hardware and software problems.Education & Credentials:

• Bachelor's degree in business, administration, transportation and logistics, or related field; or a combination of post-high school and equal experience may be substituted for education.

• US Citizenship required.

• Ability to obtain a CAC card.

Experience:

• 5 or more years' related experience required in trucking/transportation, supply chain management, customer service, rate/contract negotiations.

• Prior experience managing Supplier/Vendor relationships preferred.

• Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing. Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships.

• Familiar with logistics and transportation principles, concepts and methodologies including inventory management, moving product via various modes, cost analysis and resource optimization.

Technical Skills:

Proficient in Microsoft Office products, including Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint and Word. Experience with data analytics tools/languages (for example, Power BI, Tableau, SQL), customer relationship software (for example, Salesforce) and project management software (for example, Smartsheet's) preferred.
