This Logistics Specialist ensures shipments are handled accurately and efficiently from start to finish. By managing documentation, customs entries, payments, they reduce delays, maintain compliance, and support smooth international operations. What You'll Do:

Responsible for administering efficient and economical movement of cargo; resolving cargo transportation needs and/or processing documentation within established deadlines.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage tasks involving the movement of goods in accordance with organizational policies.

• Ensure invoices are accurate is in accordance to the physical shipment and customer/other regulatory requirements.

• Review proposals and make recommendations and/or modifications in rates as needed.

• Ensure compliance with all U.S. regulatory agencies. Serve as a liaison with customer by keeping them updated on the status of cargo being transported.

• Prepare, review, approve and maintain files for import/export documents.

• Determine cargo classifications according to tariff specifications. May be required to interpret, review and apply appropriate rates to bills of lading based on applicable tariffs timely and accurately while staying compliant with the rules and regulations.Position Description Education & Credentials:

• High school diploma or equivalent, with course work after high school and/or job-related training preferred.

Experience:

• 2 - 5 years general office, transportation/logistics experience with knowledge of ocean/air documents, customs forms and regulations preferred. Bilingual (English/Spanish) may be required.

Working Conditions:

Normal office environment with little exposure to excessive noise, dust, temperature and the like. Extended use of a computer keyboard, viewing of a computer monitor and the ability to sit for long periods of time.

Competencies:

Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing. Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships. Ability to demonstrate effective customer service skills. Ability to prioritize, organize and perform multiple work assignments simultaneously while meeting assigned deadlines. Ability to identify complex problems and review related information to develop and evaluate options and implement solutions. Ability to perform accurately in a detail-oriented environment. Ability to gather, interpret, report, and use data and other information concerning assigned activities. Ability to function effectively with or as part of a team. Skill in preparing clear and concise documents, including, but not limited to reports, procedures, correspondences, and other written materials. Knowledge of the concepts, principles, and practices of import forwarding and customs brokerage in a domestic and/or international capacity. Knowledge of applicable computer applications and basic computer functions.

Technical Skills:

• Proficient with Microsoft Office products, including Excel, Outlook and Word.
