Responsibilities
What You'll Do:
Manages and writes Government proposals, with the objective of continued company growth.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manages the development, production, and submittal of Government proposals, which includes managing essential resources to comply with RFP requirements and meet/exceed evaluation criteria.
- Oversees the coordination of all proposal activities.
- Directs Book Bosses/Volume Leads, Coordinators, and Writers, including consultants.
- Implements proposal processes and planning.
- Sets and manages proposal schedules, plans, deadlines, and progress monitoring.
- Develops the proposal outline (basic and annotated), compliance matrix, and evaluator scorecards.
- Manages the compliance review.
- Prepares for and leads kick-off meetings, color reviews, and other meetings, including discussions on vetting questions to the Government.
- Leads color review recovery efforts.
- Works closely with the Solution Architect and operational team in developing technical / management solutions.
- Manages subcontractor data calls.
- Works with the Pricing Lead to coordinate development of the Cost/Price Volume and conduct a compliance review.
- May also serve as Lead Writer for proposal sections/volume, working with Subject Matter Experts (SMEs)/technical staff to transform highly technical material into easily understood, convincing, scoreable text that meets/exceeds evaluation factors.
- Collaborates with Graphic Artists to brainstorm graphics and icon development.
Education & Credentials:
- Bachelor's degree in marketing, industrial engineering, business, transportation/logistics or a related field; or a combination of post high school and equal experience may be substituted.
- 8+ years of experience in proposal management and writing.
- High preference for experience in managing proposal development for Government RFPs.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office products, including Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Word.
- Familiar with using AI.
