What You'll Do:
Responsible for finding carriers for designated shipments, while building carrier relationships and driving digital engagement for transactional shipments.
Key Responsibilities:
• Responsible for finding carriers and developing and maintaining strong relationships with them. Fulfill shipments with the lowest cost and best service carriers.
• Responsible for rate negotiation with carriers. Ensure operational execution.
• Communicate performance expectations to carriers for each shipment. Participate in carrier business reviews as needed
• Review carrier service performance and identify service improvements.Education & Credentials:
High school diploma or equivalent required. Bachelor's degree in business, transportation or a related field preferred. Bi-Lingual preferred but not required
Experience:
0-3 years of experience in truck transportation, truck brokerage, supply chain management, import/export transportation, customer service, negotiations or related experience.

Competencies
Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing. Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships both internally and externally. Ability to demonstrate effective customer service skills. Ability to prioritize, organize and perform multiple work assignments simultaneously while meeting assigned deadlines. Ability to identify complex problems and review related information to develop and evaluate options and implement solutions. Ability to perform accurately in a detail-oriented environment. Ability to gather, interpret, report and use data and other information concerning assigned activities. Ability to function effectively with, or as part of a team. Balance a high level of inbound phones calls while still making outbound calls in a high-pressure environment. Create a pipeline based on the use of repeated and new carriers.
Technical Skills:
Proficient in Microsoft Office products, including Excel, Outlook and Word.

Working Conditions
Normal office environment with little exposure to excessive noise, dust, temperature and the like. Extended use of a computer keyboard, viewing of a computer monitor and the ability to sit for long periods of time.
