Job Description
Cookies Florida is hiring a Post Harvest Supervisor in Deland, FL. This is a full-time position.
Purpose TRP is a preferred global retail partner that will be opening and operating stores across the US and beyond. We are looking for a hardworking, goal-oriented individual to join our trim/packaging department. Trimmers/packagers are responsible executing production plans in keeping with the Companys operating procedures. Trimmers/packagers carry out the day-to-day assignments and tasks of the medical cannabis production cycle. Core Responsibilities Curing & Product Quality Manage daily curing operations, including jar/bag burping, humidity control, and temperature tracking to maintain target moisture and terpene retention.Verify all environmental logs, cure schedules, and QA sampling are completed accurately and in compliance with OMMU and internal SOPs.Conduct visual and olfactory inspections for product readiness and microbial integrity prior to release to trim or packaging. Buckdown & Trim Oversight Supervise and schedule buckdown and trimming teams to align with weekly harvest throughput goals.Train and coach staff on strain-specific handling, equipment use, and SOP adherence.Track team output, yield loss, and labor hours to evaluate efficiency and identify bottlenecks.Ensure product is properly labeled, staged, and transferred through the chain of custody in compliance with METRC and company procedures.Support cross-training between buckdown and trim departments to maintain labor flexibility. Operational Management Implement and enforce sanitation and safety standards for post-harvest rooms and tools.Collaborate with cultivation and packaging departments to plan harvest pulls, cure timing, and downstream production needs.Maintain accurate inventory, cure room logs, and production records for audit readiness.Communicate daily progress to management and participate in KPI tracking (e.g., grams/hour, yield %, cure time, labor efficiency). Team Leadership Supervise a team of post-harvest associates across multiple shifts or work areas.Conduct performance evaluations, attendance management, and corrective action when required.Foster a culture of accountability, consistency, and quality craftsmanship in all handling practices. Qualifications: Required: Minimum 2 years of experience in commercial cannabis post-harvest operations or similar agricultural/production environment; supervisory experience preferred.Strong understanding of drying/curing science, moisture content control, and quality preservation techniques.Familiarity with seed-to-sale tracking and Florida OMMU compliance requirements.Proficiency with Excel or production tracking software for yield and labor analysis.Ability to work in a fast-paced, physically demanding environment with extended standing and repetitive motion.Excellent communication, organization, and leadership skills. This role routinely uses gloves and scissors, and employees are required to wear coveralls, hairnets, and other PPE, including at times, face covers. This position regularly requires long hours. Weekend work opportunities are available and, at times, may be required. Physical Demands: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and listen. This employee is frequently required to stand, walk, use hands or feet, reach with hands and arms, and may be required to lift a minimum of 50 pounds. Position Type and Expected Hours of Work: This is a full-time position. This position regularly requires long hours and frequent weekend work. Travel: This position does not require travel.
