POSITION SUMMARYThe Accounting Lead Analyst position will be responsible for all accounting aspects of Quallent inventory management, including inventory valuation and revaluation, account reconciliations, journal entries, supporting schedules and other responsibilities as needed. The position will coordinate data flow between Quallent and CuraScript SD, and between CuraScript SD and Express Scripts Pharmacy, to ensure inventory quantities and values are appropriately stated. In addition, this person will work with the operations to support the 3PL vendor management for invoicing and coordination with Evernorth accounting. The position will also ensure the appropriate intercompany elimination entries are processed during each month end close as well as ensure proper recognition of revenue in conjunction with Express Scripts Pharmacy. The position will also support the current Inventory Accountant, to learn the role as backup, and support the ever-growing volume.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS- Key participant in monthly close process with responsibility for preparation of required standard, adjusting and elimination journal entries, timely and accurately.
- Implement, organize and analyze Intercompany Inventory transactions for CuraScript SD with Quallent and Express Scripts Pharmacy.
- Assist in the preparation and review of Financial Statements and resolve discrepancies to trend for P& L lines to determine completeness prior to close day 3.
- Perform general ledger reconciliation and account analysis including reconciling subledger balances to the general ledger to ensure accurate financial reporting.
- Assist in establishing, modifying documentation and coordinating implementation of new accounting policies and accounting control procedures.
- Assist internal and external auditors with monthly, quarterly and/or annual reviews and provide support documentation where applicable.
- Assist the Inventory Accountant to learn all aspects of the role and act as backup and support to the role.
- Perform ad hoc reporting and special projects as requested.
QUALIFICATIONS- Bachelors Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business or related field.
- 2+ years relevant experience with Journal Entries, Account Reconciliation, Data Analysis.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, advanced ability with Microsoft Excel & PowerPoint.
- ERP and GL experience required; SAP experience preferred.
- Strong written/verbal communication, including presentation skills. Comfortable discussing and explaining complex concepts to audiences with varying levels of knowledge of the subject.
- Ability to take ownership and deliver results; Initiative with commitment and ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
