The Accounts Payable Supervisor will oversee an accounts payable team, and direct the processing of invoices and payments, including employee expense reports.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

• Interviews prospective employees and chooses the best applicant based on skills, knowledge, and abilities required for the job.
• Trains and oversees employees involved in billing functions.
• Directs assigned tasks and provides assistance as needed.
• Assists with performance evaluations.

Responsibilities:

• Process daily and monthly banking transactions of the organization, including but not limited to wires and electronic payments.
• Record all banking transactions to the general ledger.
• Supervise staff accountants.
• Prepare schedules and supporting documentation for internal / external auditors.
• Reconcile accounts payable total and general ledger with other applicable records.
• Reconcile cash accounts.
• Maintain vendor master file and ensure employer identification numbers or social security numbers have been collected from all vendors for the preparation and submission of 1099s.
• Other projects as requested by management.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, business or finance preferred
• Two years of supervisory experience preferred
• Experience with Oracle Fusion preferred
• Advanced Excel skills
• Thorough understanding of accounts payable functions and understanding of general ledger systems
• Excellent supervisory and analytical skills
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
• Ability to motivate staff
• Strong organizational and critical thinking skills
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, work effectively with management, and interact with accounting professionals and other departments’ staff

Location: Hybrid and when onsite it will be at Brooks Rehabilitation Hospital, 3599 University Blvd South, Jacksonville, FL 32216

Hours: 40 Hours per week
