(BCI) POST Position: Administrative Assistant Employment Status: Full-Time (FT) Department: Driving Under the Influence (DUI) Program Reports To: Driving Under the Influence Program Manager (DUIPM) Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA) Status: Non-Exempt Position Summary Bridgeway Center, Inc. (BCI) is seeking a dependable, detail-oriented Administrative Assistant to join our Driving Under the Influence (DUI) Program. This is a Full-Time (FT) position. The DUI Program is licensed and regulated by the Florida Department of Highway Safety and Motor Vehicles (FLHSMV), Bureau of Motorist Compliance, under Chapter 15A-10, Florida Administrative Code (F.A.C.), and Florida Statute 316.193. The Administrative Assistant plays a critical role in ensuring that client registration, records, and reporting meet these state requirements. The Administrative Assistant is a high-performing, self-directed professional who can work independently with minimal supervision while managing a fast-paced front desk and administrative workload. This individual is responsible for registering clients into DUI Level I and Level II education courses and Special Supervision Services, verifying court orders and referral paperwork, entering and maintaining accurate client data, scheduling classes and evaluations, collecting fees, and preparing state-required completion documentation. Strong customer service skills are essential, as the Administrative Assistant is often the first point of contact for clients navigating a difficult and sensitive legal process. The Administrative Assistant prepares client charts in advance of appointments, classes, and evaluations, and is responsible for ensuring that every chart and every piece of data entry is accurate and completely filled out before and after each client encounter. This role requires excellent organizational skills and time management to plan ahead, juggle multiple deadlines, and keep the office running smoothly, along with a proactive attitude and a genuine willingness to step in and assist wherever the DUI Program needs support. The ideal candidate is comfortable working with computers and standard office/data-entry software, is highly organized, maintains strict confidentiality, and exercises sound judgment and accuracy when handling legally sensitive, court-related, and FLHSMV-regulated documentation.
