Description:
Opportunity at a Glance We are looking for a Senior Manager, Brand to help bring ACAMS' brand strategy to life - across channels, audiences, and brand moments.
This is not a pure execution role. We want someone who thinks before they build, who brings strategic ideas to the table, and who can translate brand vision into content, campaigns, and communications that will move people and enterprises. You'll work closely with the Senior Director of Brand & Communications, contributing to strategy, owning execution, and making the brand sharper at every touchpoint.
We're in an active phase of brand evolution: sharpening our story, deepening member engagement, and growing our presence in a complex, high-stakes global industry. This role sits at the center of that work. If you're a brand generalist with strong instincts, a bias for action, a creative bent, and genuine curiosity about a complex industry, this is a place to do your best work. The ideal candidate is a hands-on lead with strong judgment who is comfortable working closely with cross-functional partners to craft high-impact narratives, messaging, and campaigns. You identify solutions, not just surface problems.
Responsibilities Brand & Campaign Execution
- Translate brand strategy into campaigns, content, and communications across channels - social, email, web, and beyond
- Bring a creative and strategic point of view to campaign development: audience thinking, channel selection, messaging, and creative direction. You can explain the "why" behind your recommendations and push back when something isn't right for the brand
- Manage editorial calendars and content planning to ensure brand activity is coordinated and tied to business priorities
Content & Storytelling
- Write and edit across formats - social copy, executive communications, member-facing messaging, long-form content, and campaign briefs
- Distill complex anti-financial crime (AFC) topics into clear, credible, engaging content for an educated, professional audience. You don't need to be an AFC expert on day one, but you're the kind of person who genuinely gets curious about the space
- Maintain brand voice and editorial standards across all outputs
Social Media
- Own day-to-day management of ACAMS' social channels
- Drive content strategy, posting cadence, experimentation, and performance optimization
- Monitor industry conversations and surface timely content opportunities
Communications Support
- Support executive communications and strategic messaging initiatives
- Partner with our PR agency on external communications as needed on press strategy, briefing materials, messaging alignment, and content support
- Ensure messaging consistency across internal and external touchpoints
Cross-Functional Partnership
- Work closely with Events, Marketing, Thought Leadership, Chapters, and Editorial teams to surface content opportunities and align on priorities. You contribute ideas, not just deliverables - and you add value in early-stage conversations where strategy is still taking shape
- Serve as a brand steward across the organization, helping colleagues understand and apply brand standards
Website Support
- Oversee marketing landing pages, with input from marketing stakeholders, to optimize for impact and brand alignment
Skills, Qualifications and Experience - 7+ years of experience in brand, content, social media, communications, or marketing - with clear exposure across multiple functions
- B2B experience required; background in financial services, compliance, professional services, or another regulated or complex industry strongly preferred
- Exceptional writing and editorial judgment - able to produce and review content across multiple formats and audiences. Writing is a core tool of this role
- Experience supporting or developing brand campaigns end-to-end, from concept through execution, with the strategic range to contribute to early-stage thinking and the follow-through to deliver
- Strong project management and organizational skills; experience coordinating campaigns across teams and vendors to meet timelines and budgets
- Outstanding cross-functional communication skills, with the ability to align stakeholder expectations and work effectively across levels
- Resourceful and self-directed - comfortable doing work across levels, knowing when to ask for help, and getting things done without a large team behind you
- Familiarity with social media management, content strategy, and digital channels
- High adaptability; able to respond to shifting priorities and thrive in a fast-paced environment
- Familiarity with tools such as Sprout, Canva, and Microsoft tools
- Fluent English required
