The Team

The Program Manager serves as a central coordinator for People Technology projects, ensuring alignment with business goals and effective execution of projects while fostering collaboration and transparency among stakeholders. This role orchestrates multiple technology initiatives across the organization, managing interdependencies, resources, and timelines to deliver strategic outcomes. The position requires advanced project management skills and expertise of business needs, technical functionality, and organizational goals. The ideal candidate will combine strong business and technical understanding with excellent leadership and communication skills to successfully deliver complex technology programs that enhance HR operations and employee experience.

How you will contribute
  • Contribute to project management frameworks and governance structures that maintain alignment with strategic objectives.
  • Establish and maintain effective collaboration and communication channels among project teams, stakeholders, and leadership.
  • Create materials for executive readouts and offer training, tools, and best practices to teams, building organizational capability in technology project delivery.
  • Facilitate integration planning sessions with stakeholders to define cross-system requirements, data flow needs, and connectivity priorities across multiple technology initiatives.
  • Monitor progress, mitigate risks, and measure outcomes with KPIs to ensure successful delivery of technology initiatives and realization of business benefits.
  • Coordinate integration workstreams across multiple People Technology projects, ensuring seamless connectivity between systems and alignment with overall program objectives.
  • Manage integration dependencies and timelines across projects, identifying potential connectivity conflicts and coordinating resolution strategies with technical teams.
  • Oversee integration testing phases and validation activities to ensure cross-system functionality meets business requirements before program delivery.
  • Establish integration governance and communication protocols between project teams working on interconnected systems and platforms.
  • Collaborating with teams to define governance and processes related to People Technology and data functions.
  • Develop and maintain comprehensive program plans, including scope, schedule, budget, and resource requirements.
  • Allocate and optimize resources across projects to maximize efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Identify, analyze, and mitigate program risks and issues, escalating when necessary to appropriate stakeholders.
  • Monitor integration risks across the program portfolio and implement mitigation strategies to prevent connectivity issues from impacting overall program success.
  • Conduct regular program status meetings and provide timely updates to stakeholders at all levels.
  • Drive change management activities to support successful adoption of new technology solutions
  • Establish metrics and reporting mechanisms to track program performance and business outcomes.
  • Ensure adherence to quality standards, compliance requirements, and best practices in technology implementation.
  • Lead continuous improvement efforts and capture lessons learned to enhance future program delivery.
  • Drive identification and analysis of business needs across the organization, translating requirements into actionable technology initiatives.
  • Develop and execute comprehensive change management strategies, including stakeholder engagement, communication planning, and adoption frameworks to support successful adoption of new technology solutions.
  • Create and manage organizational communication plans for technology initiatives, ensuring consistent messaging and stakeholder alignment.
  • Drive user adoption initiatives through targeted training programs, support systems, and feedback mechanisms


Qualifications:
  • 8 plus years in program/project management, preferably with HRIS implementations
  • Proven track record of successfully delivering complex technology programs in enterprise environments.
  • Strong understanding of HR processes, systems, and how technology enables business outcomes.
  • Experience with project management methodologies (e.g., Agile, Waterfall, hybrid approaches)
  • Excellent leadership skills with ability to influence without direct authority.
  • Skill in creating reports and presentations for management.
  • Outstanding communication and presentation skills, with experience delivering executive level reports
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with attention to detail
  • Experience managing budgets, resources, and vendor relationships
  • Knowledge of change management principles and practices
  • Ability to balance strategic vision with tactical execution
  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Information Technology, or related field
  • Professional certifications in project/program management (e.g., PMP, PgMP, PRINCE2, SAFe) are highly desirable


Performance Indicators:
  • Program delivery success achieving 90%+ of People Technology projects completed on time, within scope, and meeting integration requirements
  • Risk mitigation success with 90%+ of identified program risks addressed proactively before impacting project delivery
  • Integration testing oversight ensuring 90%+ of cross-system functionality validates successfully before program go-live
  • Executive reporting quality with timely and accurate program status updates delivered to leadership teams
  • Continuous improvement initiatives by recommending functionality enhancements that successfully address evolving business needs

Full-time Positions and Part-time Positions Over 30 hours

Regular employees working 30 or more hours per week are also entitled to participate in Alvarez & Marsal Holdings' fringe benefits consisting of healthcare plans, flexible spending and savings accounts, life, AD& D, and disability coverages at rates determined periodically as well as a 401(k) retirement savings plan. Provided the eligibility requirements are met, employees will also receive an annual discretionary contribution to their 401(k) retirement savings plan from Alvarez & Marsal. Additionally, employees are eligible for paid time off including vacation, personal days, seventy-two (72) hours of sick time (prorated for part time employees), ten federal holidays, one floating holiday, and parental leave. The salary range is $140, 000-170, 000 annually, dependent on several variables including but not limited to education, experience, skills, and geography. In addition, A& M offers a discretionary bonus program which is based on a number of factors, including individual and firm performance. Please ask your recruiter for details.
