The Team

The IT Asset Management Intern is required to work with the wider IT department based in our Tampa office. The Asset Management Intern will contribute with all aspects of hardware asset management from discovery and tracking, reporting, and stockroom auditing, to disposal of assets in line with IT security and governance standards. The IT Asset Management Intern will support the team in the day-to-day operations and management of the lifecycle of assets and ensures the configuration management database is regularly updated. The IT Asset Management Intern will assist in ensuring correct hardware assignment and collection of equipment for leavers as well as governing the firm's lost/stolen policies to ensure adherence to company policy.

How you will contribute
  • Assist in maintaining the IT Asset Register within the Configuration Management Database (CMDB) in ServiceNow.
  • Process Asset Management tasks relating to Starters, Movers, and Leavers ensuring the end-of-life laptops are returned within the required timeframe.
  • Process repairs, returns, and re-assignment of hardware to our end users ensuring all data is captured accurately.
  • Implementation of policies and standards governing damaged, lost, stolen, and replacement of assets.
  • Work with IT Teams to ensure timely scheduling of eWaste and disposal of laptops.
  • Undertake physical audits of hardware (laptops), and cross reference against ServiceNow Asset Register.
  • Record and facilitate stock management, goods in and goods out processing.
  • Manage Incident & Service Request asset tasks and relevant policies.
  • Adhere to policy and workflows and suggest operational improvements where possible.
  • Hardware shipping, coordination & tracking with the lessor.
  • Support all aspects of hardware asset management including: discovery and tracking, reporting, PC refreshes, and disposal activities in alignment with IT security and governance standards.
  • Ensure receiving logs are maintained and properly updated in accordance with ServiceNow asset management standards.
  • Ensure asset re-assignments to end-users' data is accurate.
  • Record and facilitate stock management as needed.
  • Maintain accurate asset records in ServiceNow.
  • Accessory/peripheral ordering and stock management.
  • Working with the wider IT department within A& M as needed.


Qualifications
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Basic Microsoft Office skills, (e.g., Excel, Outlook Calendar, Mail, Teams and Chat)
  • Excellent communication skills - ability to clearly communicate and present updates to team members and internal clients.
  • Problem-solving skills that can be applied to situations and problem resolution.
  • Excellent customer service skills with the ability to interact with people at all levels.
  • Being an all-around team player, a people person, and able to work in an open fast paced environment.
  • Self-motivated and goal-oriented, constantly looking to make improvements to drive efficiency.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. on occasion, and work on your feet throughout the day.
  • Intern required to be onsite; minimum 20 hours per week.

Compensation Statement

The hourly rate is $30 per hour.
