Job Description

Schneider Electric is hiring a Commissioning Engineer for ATS (Automatic Transfer Switches) in Helsinki, ES. This is a full-time position.

Are you experienced in Automatic Transfer Switches, Low Voltage systems or secure power installations, and ready to work on complex international projects?

We are looking for a Commissioning Engineer for ATS to support Schneider Electric customers and projects across Europe. In this role, you will provide professional on-site services for ATS and Low Voltage products, including commissioning, technical diagnostics, installation support, troubleshooting and customer training.

You will work on complex and critical power installation projects, supporting equipment such as Automatic Transfer Switches, Low Voltage cabinets, UPS-related systems and associated power distribution solutions.

This position requires international travel for approximately 70% of working time.
Main responsibilities
  • Perform startup and commissioning across the ATS and Low Voltage product range
  • Evaluate unit installation, including quality of connections, assembly and readiness for start-up
  • Evaluate system installation and operational conditions
  • Perform onsite adjustments to bring equipment to optimal running conditions
  • Support customers in the installation, modification and repair of ATS and Low Voltage products
  • Identify whether failures are related to quality issues, software issues or operational conditions through root cause analysis
  • Work with Schneider Electric service engineers and partners during site interventions
  • Interact with L3 support to solve technical issues on site
  • Provide training to Schneider Electric customers on equipment operation
  • Interact with customers on site or remotely to define the level and type of support required
  • Perform preventive and corrective maintenance for ATS and Low Voltage products and systems
Your profile
  • You have a strong technical background in electrical engineering, power systems or a similar field, with hands-on experience from commissioning, field service or troubleshooting in customer environments.
  • We are looking for someone with experience from ATS, Low Voltage, Secure Power or similar power systems, ideally combined with a diploma or bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, or equivalent technical experience.
  • You have around 5 years' experience with commissioning or field service repair and confirmed experience with power system installations, such as Transfer Switches, Low Voltage switchboards or UPS-related systems.
  • Experience with installation and commissioning in data center environments is a strong advantage. Knowledge and experience in diagnosing and repairing electronic circuitry on component level is also an advantage.
  • You have a strong understanding of ATS and Low Voltage principles, good knowledge of electricity and electrical installations, and good software tool literacy, including AutoCAD, MS Office and Acrobat.
  • Fluent communication skills in English, minimum B2 level, are required.
