Enersense Engineering Oy is currently looking for a highly skilled and experienced
Senior Instrumentation Designer for a permanent employment to join our client's team in Helsinki, Finland. In this role, you will be responsible for leading the design, development and implementation of advanced instrumentation systems for various applications.
Main tasks and responsibilities: - Prepare and develop detailed instrumentation drawings and designs including arrangement, concept, basic and detailed design phases
- Identify and implement design improvements and innovations
- Coordinate and interface with other disciplines (electrical, piping, mechanical, structures, etc.) to ensure consistent designs and well-defined interfaces
- Monitor progress against schedules, ensure design deliverables are produced according to agreed specifications, standards, safety and quality requirements
- Prepare or assist in defining schedules for instrumentation disciplines
- Contribute to cost estimates, project scope definition and proposals
- Participate in design reviews, audits and quality control
- Ensure that documentation is well managed and traceable
Requirements: - Bachelor's or Master's degree or equivalent in Instrumentation & Control Engineering, Electrical
- Engineering, Automation or a related field
- Relevant experience in instrumentation design in oil & gas, heavy industry or process industry
- Proven track record of leading successful design projects
- Proficiency in 2D drafting tools and 3D modelling tools
- Good understanding of instrumentation systems: field devices, control systems, hazardous areas, safety & regulatory standards, cable routing and terminations and instrumentation layouts
- Strong coordination skills to interface and work across disciplines
- Good analytical skills, problem solving skills, capacity to deal with incomplete data and technical queries
- Ability to foresee design clashes or interface issues
- High level of attention to quality and safety
- Experience with industry standards and regulations
- Strong communication skills and ability to liaise with different stakeholders
