Enersense Engineering is currently seeking an experienced and motivated
Mechanical Package Manager to support one of our key clients on a major infrastructure project located in the Capital Region of Finland. In this role the selected professional will oversee the full lifecycle of mechanical packages from design to commissioning and handover. This role demands strong project coordination skills, technical knowledge, and leadership within fast-paced construction environments. We are hiring on a permanent basis, and the position is set to start as soon as possible.
This is an excellent opportunity to work within a high-performing team on a technically demanding project for a reputable international client. In this role, you will be responsible for developing, monitoring, and managing the overall project schedule in close cooperation with the client's project and site teams. You'll play a critical part in ensuring timely delivery, resource alignment, and effective coordination across all phases of the project.
Key Responsibilities: Package Planning & Design Coordination: - Manage mechanical package from initial planning through to project closeout.
- Conduct high-level design reviews; raise and manage RFIs.
- Develop comprehensive package overviews and schedules.
- Prepare equipment lists and material take-offs.
- Plan and monitor technical submittal schedules and interface coordination across disciplines.
Subcontractor Management: - Prepare and issue tender documentation; assist commercial teams with pricing.
- Manage RFI responses and evaluate tender submissions.
- Recommend subcontractor selections and oversee onboarding processes.
- Detailed Design & Execution:
- Develop and maintain collaborative programmes with subcontractors.
- Lead weekly progress meetings and design development including technical submittals, BIM coordination, and interface management.
- Attend and contribute to coordination meetings (Mechanical, MEP, Interface, BIM).
- Submit weekly reports to Mechanical or MEP Leads.
Construction & Testing: - Deliver weekly progress and photographic reports.
- Enforce site safety practices in collaboration with the Project Manager and Safety Advisor.
- Promote a strong QHSE (Quality, Health, Safety & Environmental) culture across the project.
Project Controls: - Manage scheduling, cost tracking, material deliveries, and equipment logistics with the Project Manager and Commercial team.
- Oversee variation orders, valuations, and change management processes.
- On-Site Operations:
- Supervise day-to-day site activities and subcontractor performance.
- Maintain snagging lists and labor tracking.
- Ensure material delivery schedules are met and properly documented.
Commissioning & Handover: - Support commissioning team by providing required documentation and resolving subcontractor snags.
- Assist in the closeout of final accounts and submission of O& M manuals.
- Finalize CMMS lists, QA files, and ensure all warranties and guarantees are in place.
- Oversee plant relocations, manage site spares, and complete project plan documentation.
Requirements: - Proven experience in managing mechanical packages or large-scale installation projects.
- Strong understanding of mechanical systems and design-build processes.
- Solid knowledge of Health & Safety standards and procedures.
- Experience managing industrial relations and subcontractor coordination.
- Effective communicator with leadership and organizational capabilities.
