Description:

Enersense Engineering is currently seeking an experienced and motivated Mechanical Lead to support one of our key clients on a major infrastructure project located in the Capital Region of Finland. In this role the selected candidate will take charge of mechanical engineering operations on a data center project in Helsinki. This role involves leadership, coordination, and technical expertise to ensure successful delivery and execution of mechanical systems on-site.
We are hiring on a permanent basis, and the position is set to start as soon as possible.

This is an excellent opportunity to work within a high-performing team on a technically demanding project for a reputable international client. In this role, you will be responsible for developing, monitoring, and managing the overall project schedule in close cooperation with the client's project and site teams. You'll play a critical part in ensuring timely delivery, resource alignment, and effective coordination across all phases of the project.

Responsibilities:
  • Manage and guide a team of Mechanical Engineers, promoting strong teamwork and performance.
  • Propose design optimizations to enhance cost-efficiency, construction timelines, and system quality.
  • Monitor on-site mechanical works to ensure compliance with quality standards and specifications.
  • Work closely with contracts managers, site engineers, and other discipline leads to coordinate project information and execution.
  • Review project drawings and specifications; escalate design concerns and discrepancies to the design team.
  • Establish project resource needs and build a cohesive and effective site team.
  • Oversee all aspects of site health and safety within the mechanical scope.

Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a relevant discipline.
  • Strong knowledge of procurement processes and supply chain coordination.
  • Experience in scheduling, programming, and project sequencing.
  • Proven leadership in delivering large-scale MEP projects, especially within data center environments.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
