Enersense Engineering is currently seeking a skilled and motivated
Environmental Manager to support one of our key clients on a major infrastructure project located in the Capital Region of Finland. We are hiring on a permanent basis, and the position is set to start as soon as possible.
In this role, you will oversee and implement environmental management practices for a large-scale construction project. You will work closely with site management teams to ensure that environmental risks are identified, mitigated, and that all project activities align with both client requirements and sustainability goals.

Key Responsibilities: - Develop and review the project's Environmental Management Plan and ensure its integration with client and sustainability goals
- Assess and mitigate environmental risks in construction methods, procedures, and processes
- Provide environmental training and toolbox talks for site staff
- Conduct emergency practice scenarios and identify areas for improvement
- Monitor waste management, water discharges, and environmental compliance on-site
- Perform site walkovers, address non-conformities, and report progress monthly
- Lead environmental inspections, audits, and support the LEED certification process
- Drive environmental initiatives and promote best practices across the project
Skills & Qualifications: - Degree in Environmental Science, Engineering, or a related field
- 7+ years of experience in the construction sector, with a strong background in site supervision
- Proven experience in one or more of the following sectors: data centres, nuclear facilities, substations, or large-scale construction projects
- Strong knowledge of environmental regulations, sustainability practices, and environmental risk management
- Experience with LEED certification and environmental audits
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with project teams and clients
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple environmental objectives simultaneously
- Experience in LEED certification processes is a plus
