Enersense Engineering is currently seeking an experienced and motivated
Electrical Package Manager to support one of our key clients on a major infrastructure project located in the Capital Region of Finland. The successful candidate will be responsible to oversee the delivery and management of electrical systems within a major construction project. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong leadership capabilities, technical expertise, and the ability to coordinate project elements from inception through to completion. We are hiring on a permanent basis, and the position is set to start as soon as possible.
This is an excellent opportunity to work within a high-performing team on a technically demanding project for a reputable international client. In this role, you will be responsible for developing, monitoring, and managing the overall project schedule in close cooperation with the client's project and site teams. You'll play a critical part in ensuring timely delivery, resource alignment, and effective coordination across all phases of the project.
Responsibilities: - Lead and manage the full lifecycle of the electrical systems package, ensuring alignment with project objectives.
- Oversee site safety activities in collaboration with the Project Manager and Health & Safety Advisor, including the setup, maintenance, and closeout of the project
- safety file.
- Foster and enforce a culture of excellence in Quality, Health, Safety, and Environmental (QHSE) practices across the electrical team.
- Coordinate project scheduling in partnership with the Project Manager, consulting engineer, and client stakeholders to ensure timely delivery.
- Manage all costs associated with the electrical package, including:
- Internal electrical team resources
- Subcontractors
- Material procurement and goods receipting
- Plant and equipment
- Variations and valuations
- Direct daily on-site operations and ensure strict adherence to project policies and procedures.
- Manage subcontractor performance, tracking progress against schedule and labour allocations.
- Maintain and manage the internal snagging system ("In Progress" punch lists), ensuring weekly updates and distribution of tasks to subcontractors.
- Submit weekly labour and subcontractor hours to the central time administration team.
- Participate in regular project meetings including internal reviews, engineering coordination, planning sessions, and handover discussions.
- Generate and distribute weekly internal cost reports detailing orders placed, expected material deliveries, and workforce metrics.
- Produce weekly progress reports summarizing status updates from site supervisors. Highlight percentage completion by WBS codes, risk factors, and any internal delays (e.g., material shortages).
- Submit external progress updates to the Project Manager, identifying access restrictions, design delays, third-party issues, and overall completion percentages.
- Coordinate material deliveries in line with project milestones and maintain tracking of incoming supplies.
- Maintain a weekly photographic diary to document project progress.
- Perform additional duties as required to support successful project execution.
Requirements: - Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field (essential).
- Demonstrated experience in project management within large-scale electrical installation projects.
- Proven ability to manage and coordinate multidisciplinary teams and subcontractors.
- Knowledge and experience dealing with industrial relations and on-site personnel management.
- Strong understanding of Health & Safety regulations and best practices.
- Experience in both design and build projects.
- Solid technical knowledge of electrical systems and working knowledge of mechanical systems.
